TAKING OVER AS WE SPEAK
Design A Wine Label

This Take Over gives interns the chance to design a new label for Red Edge Wine, under the facilitation of Kira Hyde from The KH Studio. Early in the Take Over, the team met Red Edge founder, Peter Dredge, who shared his career adventure before delivering the design brief for the new Degree Shiraz wine label. The crew then interviewed Peter, asking about colours, style, fonts, target audience and finally, favourite animals. And that was how they found out Peter has an affinity for the native Phascogales. It even turns out he has a hand in helping their conservation.

Since then, "The Red Edge Phascogales" have created their own mood boards, received feedback on their designs from Blunt Agency Director, Brent Nolan, and started planning their launch event. The final designs will be exhibited at Rood Henry's Artspace in Heathcote on 21 May, with the winning design announced by a panel of judges. Check out the Facebook event below.

Youth Take Over Loddon Campaspe is a three-year collaboration funded by Agnico Eagle Community Partnership Program, and delivered by Campaspe Cohuna LLEN, Central Ranges LLEN, Goldfields LLEN, and North Central LLEN.
This newsletter was written on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. Youth Take Over acknowledges the Jaara people who for many centuries have met and cared for children and young people on the lands on which we now work. We recognise them as the traditional custodians of this land, and pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal Land.
