We’d like to invite you to come hear about our new project to create pathways to employment for young people into our growing industries.
Youth Take Over brings together services, employers, and resources to create short “courses”. Up to 10 young people work together on a project, culminating in a Take Over of an industry or event (for example: a day running a café, an open day at a public building, an evening at a cinema, a digital t shirt business).
Youth Take Over gives young people the work experience, skills, and industry mentors that research shows are vital to them overcoming disadvantage in the labour market.
Youth Take Over gives employers a chance to see their business from a youth perspective and gain fresh ideas. It allows industry to build an employment pipeline of young people and helps them engage with a younger customer base.
