Program Update: Tanzania
HSICF Mission Team to Visit Children in Tanzania
On March 11, HSICF will be traveling with a group of 10 staff members, volunteers and supporters to the Meserani Mission Center in Arusha, Tanzania. While on site, the team will help build, paint and furnish the Han-Schneider Learning Center which recently broke ground. It is the newest project under Operation B.O.O.K. (Bringing Opportunity to Our Kids). The learning center will provide opportunities for the older children in the community to learn useful skills such as computer literacy and basic sewing skills, which will help break the cycle of poverty and create a new cycle of prosperity. The team will be hand-carrying the sewing machines and laptops to equip the center in order to begin enrolling students.
During the trip, HSICF will run school programs, cook meals, visit villages, furnish the learning center along with many other activities. Special opening ceremony will also take place to introduce the new facility to all the children. Please keep our mission team and our children in your prayers for a safe and successful journey.
Check back in late March for updates and pictures from the trip!
Operation B.O.O.K would not be possible without your continued dedication and support. Thank you for always making a difference for our kids!
