7th Annual Benefit Dinner
"It Takes A Global Village"
Amazing Night of Celebration and Success
OCTOBER 29 - The Han-Schneider International Children's Foundation held its 7th Annual Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction: It Takes a Global Village at the beautiful Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, CA. This year's event focused on our digital world and how the impact of social media platforms can bring about worldwide change. The evening showcased the capability of how powerful our global village has become and the actions we have taken to become a socially responsible community. Together, we have changed the lives of over 3,200 children and orphans and we will continue to do so through our social actions and save many more.
The evening hosted to nearly 250 supporters who enjoyed an awesome selection of silent auction items, great food and even better company. The event officially kicked off with emcee Anthony De La Torre, who got the night started off with a bang.
The guests were then presented with an heartfelt video of the 2015 Tanzania Mission team who traveled many miles to help complete the building of the Han-Schneider Learning Center under our Operation BOOK initiative. The message of this video truly displayed what love and compassion is all about and the emotions were definitely felt throughout the ballroom.
However, the real excitement of the night came when keynote speaker, Desmond Child graced our stage with an amazing performance of "Living on a Prayer" and an emotional keynote speech about his childhood experiences and the struggles his family endured in Cuba. Desmond, whose musical accolades are unprecedented truly displayed how his passion for music not only changed his life but the lives so many others through his philanthropic endeavors.
The night ended with a passionate call to action by Executive Director Arthur Han and his challenge to all supporters about social responsibility and the lasting change it can bring within our global village.
Once again, the event was a major success with the foundation raising over $40,000 that will go towards the completion of our Operation B.O.O.K programs in 2016.
On behalf of the HSICF and our children, we sincerely appreciate all your continued support and generosity in making our 7th Annual Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction a huge success!
