May's Students of the Month at Meserani Ismael Sangeti and Tumaini Samwel (Right to Left)
Tumaini Samwel is five years old. Her favorite color is orange. She loves studying English at the Meserani school. Her favorite thing about the Meserani school is getting the chance to study, something she knows not everyone her age has the opportunity to do. When Tumaini grows up she wants to be a teacher so she can give more children the chance at a good education. She lives with her mother and father in Lovi, a village about a 40 minute walk to and from school. When she’s not at school it is her responsibility to keep the house neat by doing chores.
Ismael Sangeti is 6 years old. His favorite color is red. Ismael loves going to the Meserani school where his favorite subject is math. Much like his co-student of the month, he wants to be a teacher to help more kids like him. When asked what his favorite thing about the Meserani, Ismael said the chance to attend and study. He also lives in Lovi with his mother and father. When he’s not busy studying, it is his responsibility to care for his family’s sheep and goats.
Children like Tumaini and Ismael have hope for a bright future. They are privileged to attend school, eat daily meals and achieve success all from your love and generosity. Our Operation B.O.O.K program, is a vital necessity to stop the cycle of poverty and ignite the pursuit for further education and development. Thank you for standing by our side and giving our children a chance to pursue this dream.
