Happy Monday Arlington Eagles!  We've enclosed great updates on our Capital Campaign, Trunk or Treat, Upcoming Basketball Games, new HS Dean of Schools, Covid-Testing & More! Please read through its entirety and have a blessed day!  Psalm 46:10.  "Be Still and know that I am with you."

Dear Arlington Family and Friends,

Welcome to Arlington Christian Schools' BELIEVE Bigger Capital Stewardship Campaign!  Here's a few things you should know:

When Does the Campaign Start?

  • On Monday, October 25th, the first of 4 fundraising campaign efforts under our Arlington Christian School's BELIEVE Bigger Capital Stewardship Campaign officially launches and can be supported by family and friends!

How Much Are We Trying to Raise and by When?

  • Our goal is $250,000 by March 2022

What Are We Raising Funds For?

  • Arlington's Parent & Dean Steering Co. have identified the below areas where funding is needed.  While we cannot address all needs at once, we've identified our top 4 as a great starting point to include the following:

               1) Chrome Books & Tablets for Scholars
               2) School Campus Repairs & Beautification
               3) Curriculum Development
               4) Professional Development

How Many Fundraising Initiatives are Planned?

  • Our first initiative is via Snap Raise!  An easy-to-use and turn-key digital fundraising platform!

What Is Snap Raise and How Can I Support This Initiative?

  • Snap Raise is a social donation platform that enables Arlington to receive donations from our networks, family, friends, communities, and supporters. Snap uses the power of social media with a safe, fun and interactive approach. All we ask is that each student gathers 20 or more email addresses of their biggest fans.
  • Please DONATE by activating your Snap Raise account and entering the emails of 20 of your family and friends! The system will automatically generate emails your friends with your scholars and why we're raising money! It's simple to do and hassle-free!
Next Steps!
  • You and your Scholar should identify and add at least 25 of your Scholar's potential supporters
  • Enter your supporter's name and correct email address into your fundraiser profile
  • Avoid using peers of your students or strangers
  • You will receive a link on Monday, October 25th from Snap along with a video on how to upload donor emails into the Snap Raise portal
  • You will only have 1 week to input your email addresses into the system
What Emails Should I Upload?
  • Parents/Guardians
  • Grandparents
  • Cousins
  • Aunts & Uncles
  • Family Doctors
  • Babysitters

Matthew 21:22, "If you BELIEVE, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
1. Tell us a little about yourself!
I attended Georgia State where I received my Bachelors degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry. After graduating Georgia State I pursued a career in teaching the STEM PreK program for Bright Horizons at Georgia Tech. We explored many aspects of STEM through hands on experiments and fun activities. I currently attend Mercer University in pursue of my Master's degree in Secondary Education.

2. What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I enjoy watching students get excited about science, especially when they understand certain topics that they felt like was too difficult to learn. Teaching was not my first choice. I was not always sure what I wanted my career path to be but I knew I wanted to help people and make a difference. I had a different path picked for me ever since I graduated college. But, God works in mysterious ways. He showed me that my calling was to help children. Helping these scholars here at Arlington, watching them grow and graduate, knowing that I made a difference in their lives has brought me the greatest joy.

3. What does a roadmap of success look like for scholars interested in STEM?
Scholars interested in STEM starts with the teacher. It is up to me to instill drive and ambition in students. I hope to start more programs here at Arlington like Science Olympiad, Math and Science workshops, Technology and Coding classes, as well as fun and educational STEM based field trips. I want to get the scholars excited about learning and excited about STEM!

4. What would you like our Arlington Eagles to gain most this year academically?
I want our Eagles to know that we are always in their corner. We want them to be and do their best to succeed. Seeing a successful scholar and knowing that I was apart of molding that child into the greatest that they could be is the biggest and best reward for me.
