The details have arrived

The University of Stirling Podcasting Society (StirPod) is pleased to announce the complete details of this years (and our first) Give It A Go.

There are some slight changes from our originally published details - but fear not, they are not that wildly different!

The StirPod Give It A Go will take place on Thursday, 30th September 2021 at 18:30 until 21:00 - so this will be our time and your time to shine, we’re bringing our low-budget podcast A-Game, for what we’ve got planned for you…

30x3 Team Challenge

You will be divided into 2 teams and as a team you will have just 30 minutes to make a 3 minute podcast episode, to write up episode notes/show description, to design an episode logo and depending on the size of your team there maybe a few curveballs thrown in!

We will be giving you a theme, so don’t go planning those 3 minutes just now!

The winning team will receive a tub of Celebration Chocolates to share

Games

We have planned some great games for you, including jigsaw puzzle podcast covers and more

<<First Name>>, you’re probably sick of Domino’s so we bring you Pizza Hut & Fizzy

Perhaps you like a Farmhouse, or a Hawaiian, or maybe you prefer Irn Bru to Coca-Cola - we’ll have enough pizza and fizzy juice you won’t need to worry about eating for the rest of the week (yay, no need to waste your own Student Loan, waste our presidents instead, as he’s paying for it!) - this is not a guarantee in law!

Location, Location, Location

A member of the executive team will meet you, <<First Name>>, in the Atrium (where the Co-operative is) at around 18:45 on the day, they will wait with you as a group until 19:00 - at which point they will take everyone to the rooms - alternatively, if you are able because you just know your way around the maze of Cottrell, you can come along from 18:45.

The executive member meeting you will be holding a sign so you know you’re not following some random into the depths of Cottrell!

Because there’s literally thousands of you desperate to come along to StirPod’s Give It A Go (okay we exaggerate, slightly)…

We’re in two different classrooms - Team 121 vs 129; you’ll be told which when you arrive - this also means we can make sure each team has peace & quiet to record

Covid 19 Safety Precautions

Two teams - means there should be plenty of space to social distance, whilst also wearing your face mask, on top of that, like all Student Societies we are recommending that you take a Lateral Flow Test on the day of the Give It A Go - and do not come if you test positive!

We also have food safe gloves for picking up pizza slices and juice bottles, as well as disposable cups, plates and napkins.

Added to this we have anti-septic table wipes and hand sanitizer.
