Berrys 'Technologies' Open Day, held on 29th July, was deemed a great success by all who attended, and we were pleased to welcome many customers and suppliers to our HQ in Aston, Birmingham to see some of the latest innovations in forecourt technologies. As part of the simultaneous Expo there were displays by many of the major suppliers to the Industry with a number of demonstration units put through their paces throughout the day. Berrys would like to thank all who made the day such a success for all involved.

The companies showcasing their latest products and innovations were:

  • Durapipe featured the PLX and PLX + ranges
  • Fibrelite were exhibiting their range of composite manhole covers for all industrial and forecourt applications.
  • Gilbarco Veeder-Root showed a range of pumps and dispensers pluswetstock management and business and retail support solutions
  • Kingspan Klargester featured Fuel/Oil separators and the Blue Master AdBlue tank and dispenser unit
  • Ledbury Welding and Engineering showcased the Supervault above ground tank system and the Ledbury modular filling station

There was little talk of Brexit, just a focus on the present state of business and future opportunities for the Industry, and with much common ground between visitors and participants it is an event that is likely to be repeated. It wasn't all shop talk though - some relaxation was provided with a racing simulator (fastest customer lap time recorded of 2 minutes 59.414 seconds by Steve Bradbury from Forefront Fuelling) and a close quarters magician provided further entertainment.

Berrys 50th Year Celebrations have continued since, with company founder Dave Berry recently completing a charity drive from
John O' Groats to Land's End in a classic Rolls Royce, and further celebrations planned for the actual anniversary in November. As that date approaches Berrys has confirmed its position at the forefront of the industry and will continue to monitor technological developments for advances that will provide opportunities for the design and production of safer, more efficient products and processes.
