The moment Fort Collins has been waiting for has finally arrived! Bohemian Nights is so happy to announce that Steve Miller Band will be joining us Saturday night of the festival!
The Steve Miller Band has been one of rock ‘n’ roll’s all-time greats since the band’s formation in the halcyon days of the mid-1960s San Francisco music scene.
Forty years of active recording and touring have yielded 18 studio albums, six live albums, and countless hits — including “The Joker,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jet Airliner” and “Take the Money and Run” — with total record sales over 60 million.
The past five years have been busy and productive ones for the Steve Miller Band, with tours reaching iconic venues in Europe, Australia and New Zealand in 2010, 2012 and 2013, a “San Francisco Fest” themed tour with Journey and Tower of Power playing for audiences across the United States in 2014 and 2015, and a solo U.S. tour kicking off in May 2015.
Recent years have also seen the release of two new studio albums – the 2010 number one blues album, “Bingo,” and the 2011 follow-up, “Let Your Hair Down.” The first new Steve Miller Band records in 18 years, Huffington Post calls their release “cause for celebration.” A new, live version of “The Joker,” 1974’s number one studio album, was released in 2014 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original album’s release.
“For proof that playing rock ‘n’ roll will keep you young,” says USA Today of Miller’s 2014 tour with Neal Schon of Journey, “look no farther than Steve Miller and Neal Schon.”
