BOHEMIAN NIGHTS PRESENTS CONCERTS AT THE ARMORY: JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE,
JON SNODGRASS
About Justin Townes Earle
Fresh off the success of his recent album, Single Mothers, Justin Townes Earle released a companion album, Absent Fathers, just this winter. NPR describes Single Mothers as “…mov[ing] between evocative portraits of place set in knotty emotional frames, prickly confessions of destructive patterns, and melancholic eloquence in the wake of short-lived love affairs.”
Considered a forefather of contemporary Americana, Earle is an artist committed to authenticity in a genre increasingly influenced by pop inflections. With his heart and soul still rooted in Nashville, Earle’s music is attentive to the traditions of live performance.
Son of country-singer Steve Earle, Justin Townes Earle has experienced more in his 32 years than most experience in a lifetime, both personally and professionally. Between releasing six full-length critically-acclaimed albums, constant touring, a new-found sobriety and the trials and tribulations of everyday life, Earle has many stories to tell.
About opening artist Jon Snodgrass
Jon Snodgrass is “the guy with the glasses from Drag the River,” a Fort Collins alt-country band that self-describes its style as “country and mid-western.” A Missouri native and long-time Fort Collins resident, Snodgrass also performs with two other bands – The Scorpios and Armchair Martian – as well as appearing as a solo act. We’re so excited to feature Earle and Snodgrass in this series, and to welcome Earle to town. We hope you’ll be able to join us!
DETAILS: April 28 at the historic Armory building, 314 E. Mountain Ave. in Fort Collins. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the performance will start promptly at 7 p.m. The hall seats approximately 180.
