New client-focused practice standards released

Our revised practice standards for section 29A panel practitioners, which have been updated to better reflect the needs and vulnerabilities of legal aid clients, will be formally introduced early next year. We are seeking further input from practitioners about the measures that support the new practice standards and the proposed new removals process. Read more.

Therapeutic Justice Lawyer wanted for Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre

The Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre is offering a three-year, full-time position for a lawyer to develop a therapeutic justice pilot in partnership with Primary Care Connect. The role will deliver legal support to people with complex care needs within the Shepparton Court and healthcare settings.

Justice Connect moves into into Fair Work support for unrepresented litigants

People without legal representation in employment disputes in the Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court will now be able to access legal assistance through the Justice Connect Self Representation Service.
