Our expanded mental health services are officially underway

Last week in Bendigo our expanded services for people diagnosed with a mental illness were launched by the Minister for Health, the Hon Mary Wooldridge. The event was attended by 50 mental health professionals, consumers, police, and community workers.

New training package helps prevent family violence in migrant communities

A two-year project involving Victoria's migrant communities has found it is often difficult for first generation Australians to get the legal help they need to help prevent prevent family violence. To help overcome this problem, this week we launched a new training package for organisations which help migrants settle in Victoria and local legal services to use.

Handy website for young people

StreetSmart is a smartphone-friendly website that explains the law in plain English and has all the legal information you need to know about police, Protective Services Officers, ticket inspectors and security guards, as well as useful tips on how to handle yourself.
