The Doheny State Beach Foundation will hold its Annual Meeting on January 19, 2023 at 6pm at the Doheny State Beach Main Lifeguard Tower.
The Election of the Board of Directors for 2023-2025 will take place at the meeting. The Nominating Committee has recommended the following candidates to fill the open seats on the Board. Candidates: KC Kinnings, Kip Kinnings, Mike Ahumada, Margie Black, Rodger Moore, Mike Frost, Mary Hartman, Donna Kalez, Carrie Bloom and Mario Cuevas.
Under Bylaw Section 1(b), Any five or more members may nominate candidates for directorships at any time before the twentieth day preceding such election. On timely receipt of a petition signed by the required number of members, the secretary shall cause the names of the candidates named on it to be placed on the ballot along with those candidates named by the nominating committee.
Duties of a board member include attending monthly (or as needed) board meetings and volunteer participation in and leadership of various DSBF activities and events. Board members will serve a two-year term (2023-2025). A candidate must be a member in good standing with DSBF. A candidate may be nominated by others or self-nominated. All nominations by members require 5 signatures of DSBF members in good standing supporting the candidate’s nomination.
Completed nomination forms must be turned into Executive Director, Kim Tilly no later than Dec. 30th. Nominations may be hand delivered to the Doheny Visitor Center or emailed to ktilly@dohenystatebeach.org, or by US POSTAL SERVICE to DSBF-Attn. Kim Tilly-25300 Dana Point Harbor Drive -Dana Point, CA 92629 (Postmarked by Dec. 20th).
