Doheny Update
March 2022

Native Planting in the Butterfly Garden

In February, we added 24 native plants to the Butterfly Garden including the Lilac Verbena, Bladderpod and Saltbush pictured here.

These natives are drought tolerant and great host plants for butterflies.  We will be adding signs next month and hope that you will stop by to check them out.

Visitor Center Hours Expanding in March
The Visitor Center will be open some weekdays beginning in March.  We will post updates on our website as the hours of operation firm up.  Saturday and Sunday hours will continue to be 11 am - 1 pm.

In preparation for an increase in visitors, Joe Cocke and Jim Serpa donated their time and talent to sprucing up the display cases in the Center. Many thanks to you both for making Doheny's collection shine!
