AAUW Colorado E-Network

Mission & Goals of AAUW eNetwork 2016

In order to create a wider network of advocates for women's issues and education, the Colorado eNetwork branch took some time in September—via conference call, of course!-- to set some objectives for the coming year. We want to strengthen our programs, membership and support for AAUW, and look forward to inviting you to join us in some of the tasks as we accomplish these. Here are our objectives for 2016:

·         Collaborate with other women's groups.

·         Connect young women to professional women.

·         Get input from members.

·         Increase engagement and membership with our branch and activities.

·         Support AAUW's Charting the Course campaign to provide more support for women's issues.

·         Promote the many AAUW Funds that support scholarships and research.

We started this process by asking for your input in our December survey. See something we missed, or that you thought of just now? Send a note to COeNetworkAAUW@gmail.com or respond to our Facebook post o February 2nd. Our Coordinating Council leaders will be discussing these objectives and inviting your participation in some of the tasks moving forward. We look forward to working with you to bring more issues for women and girls to the forefront!

As we look forward we must also reflect on the past year. Here is a visual from The Economic Status of Women in Colorado 2015 Report. Click Here to read their key findings.

“Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”

Want to Have the Biggest Impact? Give to the AAUW Fund

The AAUW Fund supplies funding for many of AAUW’s most popular programs, such as Elect Her, $tart $mart, and the Two-Minute Activist, as well as partial support for the Legal Advocacy Fund and Research. Your contribution can help sustain and grow the AAUW projects and programs with the greatest need, and supports AAUW’s operations.

Giving to the AAUW Fund bolsters existing AAUW programs that help women in our communities, schools, workplaces, and leadership positions. An unrestricted gift to the AAUW Fund will enable AAUW to react quickly to new challenges facing women and girls so that we can generate the research, programs, and advocacy initiatives needed to overcome those challenges.

Do you want to have the biggest impact? Support the work of AAUW as a whole. Give to the AAUW Fund. Find out more and donate at http://www.aauw.org/resource/the-aauw-fund-faq.
