In addition to serving as OfferUp CTO, Ameesh is also the co-founder of Atom Tickets, a social movie ticketing app and website backed by Lionsgate, Disney, Twentieth Century Fox Film and Fidelity Management & Research Company. Its board of advisors includes Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, Tyler Perry, Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson.

Before joining OfferUp, Ameesh was the CTO of Starz and oversaw the modernization of Starz’s technology platform, enabling an international expansion and managing the overhaul of the company’s digital media publishing pipeline. Prior to that, he spent more than 10 years at Amazon, where he was the founding employee of Amazon’s digital research and development facility in Southern California, managing a team of over 550 employees for products including Amazon Prime Instant Video, Amazon’s Appstore, Cloud Drive, and Kindle.

Interviewing Ameesh will be 3-time Tech CEO and investor, Mark Kingdon. Mark has been investing in early-stage startups for 15 years and his portfolio includes unicorns Twitter and TheRealReal, Refinery29, Homelight & OfferUp!

The 5th annual NFL 1st and Future competition, in collaboration with the University of Miami, will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center on January 31, 2020, two days before Super Bowl LIV.

1st and Future is the NFL's annual Super Bowl competition designed to spur innovation in player health, safety and performance.

Submissions for innovations that could improve player health and safety, including but not limited to: protective equipment, medical devices, sensors and training devices. Up to four start-ups will be selected as finalists and will have the chance to present their innovations on stage in Miami. One grand prize winner will be awarded $50,000 and two tickets to Super Bowl LIV. The second-place winner will receive $25,000 and two tickets to Super Bowl LIV.
