COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN EXTENDED TO JANUARY 15, 2014

On Thursday October 24, the Office of Personnel Management released a memo from Acting Director Elaine Kaplan announcing that the 2013 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) solicitation period will be extended from the original end date of December 15, 2013 to January 15, 2014, giving Federal employees one extra month to participate in the CFC.

Kaplan stated in her memo:
"In these trying times, it is often our commitment to community and public service that sets us apart as public servants.  As CFC campaigns fully resume, I encourage all Federal employees to attend campaign events, learn more about specific charities within the CFC, and give to the causes they support most passionately.  And remember, all gifts - large and small - are important and make a difference."  Kaplan added, "Giving to the CFC shows the compassionate values of Federal employees, the American people, and our great country."
