Extracts from Tadej Golob's debut novel Pigs' Legs (Svinjske nogice) will be read by actors at Liars’ League event titled Near & Far – New European Writing.

Tadej Golob won Kresnik Award for the best novel in 2010 for his debut novel Pigs' Legs (Svinjske nogice). It is a witty story of an aspiring comics artist looking for inspiration, trying to make ends meet and coping on the margins with a non-existent career, his family and society.

Liars’ League event titled Near & Far – New European Writing is a concluding event of European Literature Night 2015 and will present five short extracts celebrating fresh talent from Slovenia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and Czech Republic.

Presentation of Slovenian authors at European Literature Night 2015 events are supported by Ministry of Culture of Republic of Slovenia, Slovenian Book Agency and Embassy of Republic of Slovenia in London.

We are pleased to announce that two London based Slovenian musicians who are regularly performing on the British music scene have upcoming recitals in London. On Sunday 14th of June you will be spoiled for choice as you can pick between two concerts:

Esteemed violinist Lana Trotovsek will give an hour long recital with pianist Simon Lane performing works by Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Part and Gershwin.

Aristel Skrbic,  a postgraduate marimba student at the Royal College of Music, will give a recital which will include one of his own compositions at Classical Coffee Morning, in the Elgar Room at Royal Albert Hall.
