Term 2 is fast approaching!

This newsletter is jam packed with information, useful tips and a very yummy Easter recipe. Take 5 minutes to sit down with a cuppa and enjoy reading.

Gosh I can hardly believe how much we have packed into this current term!  Next term is our BIGGEST yet since The Leading Edge started six and a half years ago with a staggering 26 classes on offer.  It is thanks to your amazing support that we can continue to grow and offer such a wonderful mixture of classes. Four new classes on offer this coming term – 3 x Metafit and 1x Meditation.

It has always been my intention to offer something suitable for everybody and I believe we do this very well with the varied class styles available. This term is exciting as we are starting 30 minute Meditation classes at 8:30pm on Wednesday evenings. I personally practice meditation and find it to be a wonderful way to keep the ‘balance’ in my own very busy life. Being able to share the many benefits with you all is something I am incredibly pleased about.

As well as offering 3 new Metafit child friendly classes on Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:15-945am we are also branching out to a brand new location. The recently built Jindi Community Centre at 48 Breadalbane Ave, Mernda. It’s a brand new state of the art facility and conveniently located.

There have been many highlights this term and it is with great pride that myself and our wonderful team of instructors look at how much you have all achieved. The dedication and consistency you all show to continually improving your own health and fitness is impressive and we know Term 2 will be no different.

As we see the end to daylight saving soon and the onset of the colder weather, it is often easy to put your exercise on hold, but it is during these approaching colder months that maintaining your class schedule will continue to reap even more rewards. Ward off the common colds and flu by boosting your immunity and rid yourself of stiff and achey joints and the low mood that often accompany the dreary weather and stay positive and healthy with us!

Karla heads off on maternity leave at the end of this term to have bubby number 2 and we wish her all the very best. We can’t wait to see her return and know she will juggle motherhood with 2 kiddies with ease. Kelly will take the Monday 9:15am Pilates class in addition to the Thursday 9:15am Pilates class in her absence, and we welcome back Sam who has very kindly offered to help out in the Wednesday 6:00pm & 7:00pm sessions. Melinda is our new Metafit instructor and will take over the Monday & Wednesday 8:00pm Metafit sessions. We also welcome George who will take over from Luke in our 8:30am boxing session as Luke heads further afield in his new full time role. We thank him for all his enthusiasm and hard work and look forward to seeing many more of you enjoy the benefits of a Boxing Fitness session with George on Saturday mornings.

As always we all really appreciate the ‘word of mouth’ referrals we receive from you all. We would love to help more of your friends and family get and stay healthy and love having people come and try a complimentary session. Help us spread the word in our community and let’s get people moving and staying well!  We are continually welcoming new people and some familiar faces who are returning after having babies, traveling, moving away and coming back. It’s great to see so many prioritising their health and fitness.

Re-enrolments for Term 2 (13 April – 20 June)

This week is our re-enrolment week. If you do need to change any aspect of your Term 2 class schedule, please email me so I can do my best to accommodate your requests. Just a reminder that your $50 deposit (and any holiday class payments) to reserve your place are due this week. Please take to your class in a sealed and marked envelope. This will be deducted from your Term 2 amount with the balance being due in full at your first session next term. I will advise via text the term balance closer to term commencement.

Complimentary Trial Sessions

We still offer complimentary trial sessions to all newcomers, so please help someone you know improve their health and fitness and get them on board. Email me for more details.

Holiday Sessions

We are now taking enrolments for the holiday sessions with class lists available for you to add your names to. To avoid clashing with the Easter long long weekend we will offer classes as follows, and are based on demand.

31 March – 09 April
Metafit - Tuesday 6:00am & 9:30am; Thursday 6:00am & 9:30am; Wednesday 8:00pm
Total Body Workout - Tuesday & Thursday 6:30pm; Wednesday 9:30am
Pilates - Wednesday 6:00pm; Thursday 9:15am
Yoga - Tuesday or Thursday 8:00pm – which ever is most popular
