Hi and welcome to week 8 of this current term.  I'm writing this as I sit in the sun which is just glorious and feels amazing particularly after I've smashed out an interval training session earlier plus a walk with our dog Molly.

The recent chilly mornings and evenings have certainly signalled the start of winter. This can often bring on that lack of drive in many to keep up your health and fitness routine. Check out these tips to talk yourself into moving.

#1  Think of winter as your ‘pre-season’
Look at winter as an opportunity to secretly get yourself in great shape. Then you can enjoy summer feeling confident and sexy.

#2 Adopt a new training mantra
It could be “I feel so productive when Im up training while its dark.  The rest of the world is sleeping in and Imo one step ahead”

#3  Keep your cool
Training in the heat of summer can place extra stress on the body as it attempts to maintain performance and cool itself at the same time.  You’ll be more comfortable in winter when you train hard, so aim to achieve big gains in cardiovascular fitness, interval training and resistance training.

#4  Run on
Autumn through to until the end of spring is running season, so sign up for a fun run.  Running can certainly be addictive

#5  Have a back up
When things prevent you from doing your usual workout, choose a circuit of 6 body weight exercises that you can do in your living room.  Try 20 Lunges, 10 pushups, 20 Squats,  15 Cobras, 20 Crunches, 20 Single Leg-Lifts

Term 3 Re-Enrolments

As you all know, Term 3 Re-enrolments are now open. To keep it simple and easy for you, your current classes will be rolled over upon receipt of your deposit. Due to extensive waiting lists in many of our sessions your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. The deposit will be deducted from your term fees which are due in full by the first lesson in Term 3. If you need to amend any of your session times, please advise by this Friday 14 June by sending me an email. You can view our timetable here. If you have friends or family that are interested in any of our sessions, please have them contact me asap to check availability on their preferred sessions.
