A Note from the CEO

These months have been hard. But hard times bring out the best in people. It’s what I love most about our country and specifically our local communities. We’ve all witnessed so many selfless examples of help and support through this pandemic. Digging deeper to lend a financial hand. Going the extra mile to support a local business. Making that extra gift to a local non-profit. Perhaps a Face Time call to a neighbor. It all mattered. It all made a difference.

Even in hard times, we should all be congratulated on what we have accomplished:
  • We flattened the curve and substantially reduced the potential impact of this virus on the health of most Americans.
  • Those working in healthcare, the food supply chain, the front lines and in essential businesses are to be commended for their service—true Super Heroes!
  • Many of us learned to be productive remotely including businesses, schools and places of worship continued to live their mission despite the challenges of staying at home.
  • The depositors of our bank helped save more than 8,000 jobs by allowing us to fund over $63 million to over 600 small businesses, independent contractors and sole proprietors through the Paycheck Protection Program, and that’s not the only way we’ll help. Your deposits have always been important to our local communities, but never more than now. We want to say Thank You for saving so many jobs and so many businesses.
  • Because all of us have taken extra care during these past months, we are deliberately and carefully returning to the life we so enjoy living in southern Minnesota.

We’ve learned a lot from this ordeal. We will be stronger because of this adversity. As your community bank, we are committed to using all of our resources to ensure that these days ahead are prosperous and that our communities will be as vibrant as ever!

In your service,
David P. Krause, CEO

COVID-19 Updates

Making a Positive Impact

During this COVID-19 crisis, Pioneer Bank strives to help small businesses apply for funds from the Payment Protection Program. In several cases, Pioneer Bank has accomplished great things, when big banks couldn't.
"I cannot thank Pioneer Bank and Lance Jeppson enough for helping my business secure CARES Act Relief funding." Their attention to details, timeliness and rapid submission were priceless. During these difficult times, it is nice to know you have a financial institution that truly has your back!"
- Nathan Welander, Owner, Metro Exteriors LLC
