YOU'RE INVITED!

OPACC and the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation are teaming up again on Sunday, October 4th from Noon to 1 p.m. at Playdium Mississauga to raise awareness and support for kids and teens with cancer in our local communities - and you're invited to join us! This is a fun, family-friendly event where 100% of the funds raised will flow through to OPACC to continue our work of supporting families of kids with cancer throughout Ontario!

There are many ways to help: Register or join a team! Volunteer! Local businesses can sponsor or support the event directly and get great benefits in return!

Please click the "Learn More" button for our website with all the information you will need about this year's event - including FAQs, pictures & videos of last year's event, sponsorship information, and more! To maximize the amount of time that you have for fundraising, we encourage you to register your teams as soon as possible. Thank you - we couldn't do this without your support!

If you haven't been on our website in a while, take a look! We have a new look for our website that we hope will be more user-friendly. It has better organized sub-pages and finding information will be easier! There is also now a new "News" page where you can find archived news of interest to the childhood cancer community, searchable by tagged keywords. We hope you find it a useful resource and are open to hearing your feedback and suggestions to improving it even more!

He will once again be raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer by cycling with the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride across Canada this September. Let's help support him by contributing stories, pictures, and, whenever possible, making a donation directly to his ride efforts! He needs your stories and pictures to inspire him through the most challenging days of the ride. If you have a story or picture of your amazing family that you would like to share, please forward it to us at info@opacc.org and we will make sure he receives them!

HOW OPACC HELPS YOU
  • Family Support Services: Our Parent Liaison program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto offers families of children with cancer a wealth of FREE information and resources!

  • Community Development: OPACC works in collaboration with others across Ontario to build a network of community-based Parent Support Groups to ensure that families are supported both in hospital as well as back in their local communities. OPACC also provides training sessions for new Parent Facilitators.

  • Advocacy: Check our website's History page for some of the important topics that OPACC has and continues to advocate for through our work in partnership with other childhood cancer organizations from across the Province and at the national level.
HOW YOU CAN HELP OPACC

OPACC is an independent registered charity; while we often partner with other organizations to provide services to our families, our programs are managed separately. OPACC receives no government funding and all funding for the development of our programs, services and special events (which are provided at no cost to our families) comes from the donations of generous organizations, businesses, foundations, and individuals. Below, please find some ways that you can give back to help us continue helping our families!
