Thank You!

We received a cheque for $28,943.89 representing 100% of the funds raised at our 2014 National Inside Ride event plus the in-store fundraising done by local NY Fries restaurants - THANK YOU to everyone who contributed by supporting this event and to the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation for making this event possible and supporting our work!

-------

Many thanks to the Greygates Foundation for their $2,000 grant to OPACC through the Vancouver Foundation in support of our parent and family support services!

-------

As always, thanks to Starbucks for continuing to donate beverages and treats for our Sick Kids drop-ins as well as to other events and community-based parent support groups!

  • OPACC is very pleased to welcome Sunny Hayer as the newest Director on our Board!
  • Please be advised that, due to renovations in our usual Tuesday evening location at Sick Kids (Room 8704), our Tuesday evening drop-ins will be temporarily moved to Room 8102 (Sears Cancer Clinic, boardroom behind registration desk - same location as our Monday morning drop-ins) effective March 17th until April 14th, inclusive.
  • Volunteers needed! Our Parent Liaisons at Sick Kids welcome volunteers who would like to come out and join them at our Tuesday night drop-ins! You don't have to be a trained Facilitator to volunteer. Just come out and see what running a support group is like, meet families, and generally help out! Please contact us at info@opacc.org if you are interested.
  • Remember to "like" us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for the latest breaking news and announcements in between receiving our quarterly newsletters!
  • Be sure to check our website's main page for current updates on monthly support group meeting dates!

OPACC is an independent registered charity; while we often partner with other organizations to provide services to our families, our programs are managed separately. OPACC receives no government funding and all funding for the development of our programs, services and special events (which are provided at no cost to our families) comes from the donations of generous organizations, businesses, foundations, and individuals.
