Convention 2017

DAV Auxiliary's Annual Forget Me Not Luncheon will be held at the Convention Friday April 28.  We ask you prepay for your ticket thru paypal link or sending a check payable to the DAV Auxiliary to LeeAnn Karg. Lunch is $15 per person.  All convention attendees are welcome to attend.

DAV Mid-Winter Conference Washington D.C.

Last week, 19 DAV MN Members and Department Staff traveled to our Nation’s Capital to represent over 3.1 million members and the veterans which they serve. The DAV MN was hard at work, conducting 16 meetings with Representatives, Senators, and Staff Members over the course of two days. Adult Day Center - Minneapolis Veterans Home

Participants of the Adult Day Center on the campus of the Veterans Home in Minneapolis were winners of two awards.  The first in 2016 was “The State Government Innovation Award” and most recently, a “Stars Among Us Innovation Award” from Leading Age Minnesota.  Both awards for its Operation Sight and Sound project that brings together Veterans on a mission of artistic discovery. The DAV needs your help to recognize 100 years of dedicated service to our men and women who served. We need you to contact the Citizen’s Stamp Advisory Committee and request that a stamp be issued to commemorate this celebration of a century of service to our disabled service members. Augsburg College 

DAV Chapter 1 Minneapolis is proud to announce the launch of its Graduate Fellowship in Leadership Studies at Augsburg College. The DAV of MN Chapter 1 has put for a lot of man hours and resources to make this fellowship a reality. By teaming up with the DAV of MN Foundation, Chapter 1 has created a graduate level fellowship program for veterans attending Augsburg. This fellowship entails $5,000 in tuition assistance over two semesters. To learn more, see the attached document or visit
