In this International Women's Day, 8 of March, the world reaffirms that gender equality is first of all a human right. Women have the right to live in dignity and enjoy the same rights and opportunities as men.
However, despite many international agreements affirming their human rights, women all over the world, have less access to economy, credit, training and employment than men. They are far less likely than men to be politically active and to have access to leadership positions, and far more likely to be poor, illiterate or victims of domestic violence.

In the last Ministerial Declaration on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society in Paris in 2013, the 43 UfM Ministers committed to promoting equal participation of women in political, economic, civil and social life,
 
to increasing their participation in economic and policy decision-making processes, and to combating all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls.

Women’s Right to Health – The WoRTH Project
 
The overall goal of the project is to reduce the incidence and mortality of women’s malignancies (breast and cervical) in Albania, Montenegro and Morocco through the design and implementation of a comprehensive cervical and breast cancer control strategy. The strategy will be developed in coherence with national public policies and plans and in close coordination with national health authorities and local health care practitioners.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Promoting women empowerment for inclusive and sustainable industrial development in the MENA region
 
Over the course of 2.5 years, the project will contribute to enhance women’s economic inclusion by harnessing the great potential of women entrepreneurs in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia and create the conditions for a sustainable and inclusive growth.

Women SenseTour, is a personal project initiated by Sarah Zouak, 25 years who wished to meet, support and (re)enhance the image of Muslim women actresses of change in favour of women and girls empowerment.
