Dear Parents,
As you know, our Dealey PTA is participating in NTX Giving Day TODAY Thursday, September 22nd. All the funds we raise during this event go toward supporting our faculty and students. We provide funding for continuing education and training for teachers and staff, supplies to enhance student engagement and learning, field trips, extracurricular activities and opportunities, funding for families in need, campus improvements (such as our playground shade, bike racks, awnings, etc.), and so much more! Communities Foundation of Texas’ NTX Giving Day gives us a chance to introduce our organization to a new audience and raise funds to keep our mission going. This year we are asking you to join us and show your support by:

  • Donating now thru Sept. 22nd in our Fundraising Page:

https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/organization/dealeypta/

  • Spread the word and share our mission and cause to peers, family, colleagues thru social media, text, or email, etc!

For 2022, we have a goal of raising $20,000 during NTX Giving Day. Will you help us reach that goal? We hope that you will join us so that we can make a bigger impact on our school community and the North Texas community!

Thank You,
Dealey PTA

Garden Clean Up
Saturday, October 8th  |  9 am to noon
The district is finishing up their work and giving us a clean slate for our garden bed area. Now we need YOUR HELP to finish this makeover project. We need help putting together new garden beds, putting down weed barrier, filling the spaces between the beds, and filling the beds with soil. Help us so we can get our kids back in the garden and mark your calendars!
Do you want to be a part of planning a SPECTACULAR event for Dealey parents that is our biggest PTA fundraiser and have a great time while doing it!! Well join one of the following Dealey PTA Mardi Gras Ball and Auction committees.  Please email April at president@dealeypta.org with your committee preferences.

Solicitations // Dealey’s Favorite Things

This committee will be the epitome of promoting who and what we love with our friends; creating an extension of our families within our Dealey community through community outreach and solicitation. Create loved experiences with the Dealey community by sharing and promoting local businesses with your Dragon family via auction donations and solicitation. An integral part of the auction success, this committee will be tasked to work internally and externally to find and qualify community sponsorship opportunities for auction fundraising. Included, but not limited to all categorical donations (food, experiences, trips, monetary donations, goods/services, etc).

Sponsorship // Dragon Sponsors

Through the work of our community and beyond, this committee will work with larger businesses and corporations to donate and underwrite auction events, items, and experiences. As we tap into the plethora of small business, corporate, and personal contacts, this committee can generate event sponsors, big and small!

Publicity & Marketing // Dragon’s Breath

This person(s)/committee will work closely with the auction chairs to manage Auction communication, website updates, and social media. Key effort includes scheduling social media posts, working with Auction chairs to create media content,  and publicizing Auction info/updates on appropriate channels (website, e-blast, socials). Attention to detail, strong organization and technology skills required, but a lot of room for creativity and fun as we promote and market the event.

Class Projects // Dragon Pride

The true heartbeat of Dragon Pride - our students! This committee will support classrooms and teachers with their yearly class project to be presented and auctioned off. Ideas and examples will be provided to the committee, as well as classrooms. Class projects are historically very popular items; imaginations, creativity, and ideas have no limit for teachers and students. Committee members will encourage participation, provide support/ideas, procure projects from classes to the event, and ensure classrooms/teachers feel supported throughout the process.

Auction Committee // Parents of Dragons

The 2022-23 Auction Committee is fully committed and prepared to support all of the aforementioned committees. We all want to celebrate the successes of our school, the resiliency of our students, honor our teachers/staff, and support all of the efforts we as parents put in through this auction. We value your support, donations, time, and willingness to support this auction!

Thank you in advance!
