MICRODOLLY JIB

Designed for the crews that need to travel light, the MICRODOLLY Basic Jib only weighs just over 10 pounds (4.5 kg) and will carry camera gear loads up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg). It will mount on most professional tripods or hi-hats. The Jib comes in a padded Soft Case only 33 inches (86 cm) long. Set up time is less than two minutes. Extensions may be added to increase the jib length to 9 feet (274 cm) or 12 feet (366 cm).

JIB ON LOCATION

Here are location pics from Director of Photography John Mans.

"My MICRODOLLY JIB has been with me in Africa, Asia, South America and the U.S. this past year," said Mans. "This was on a National Geographic shoot in Saharan Africa near Timbuktu."

"Many times my work involves very distant locations, and the new airline baggage fees have put more pressure than ever to pack light. MICRODOLLY equipment is synonymous with light weight and clever design. This type of gear is clearly the future of filmmaking," concluded Mans.

DID YOU KNOW?

One of the innovations of the MICRODOLLY Jib is that the camera plate can be set automatically to adjust the camera tilt by degrees as the boom rises or falls and maintains the camera point of view. This automatic control of camera tilt and head room is unique to the MICRODOLLY Jib and allows many shots to be accomplished without using a pan/tilt head.

REMEMBER

All the best!
