MICRODOLLY JIB ON LOCATION

MICRODOLLY was out on location with Director of Photography Tom Tanquary.

"This shoot was for the 'Dateline' program series for NBC," said Tanquary. "My MICRODOLLY Jib has been used in over 50 stand-ups and numerous B-roll shoots since I got it. While its compact travel size and extreme light weight are enough to sell this Jib, it's the folding counter weight cage that puts it into the 'must have' category. We can use anything for counter weight. And we do!"

BASIC JIB KIT

Designed for the crews that need to travel light, the MICRODOLLY Basic Jib weighs just over 10 pounds (4.5 kg) and will carry camera gear loads up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg). It will mount on most professional tripods or hi-hats. The Jib comes in a padded Soft Case only 33 inches (86 cm) long. Set up time is less than two minutes. A folding counter weight cage may be added and extensions to increase the jib length to 9 feet (274 cm) or 12 feet (366 cm).

DID YOU KNOW?

One of the innovations of the MICRODOLLY Jib is that the camera plate can be set automatically to adjust the camera tilt by degrees as the boom rises or falls and maintains the camera point of view. This automatic control of camera tilt and head room is unique to the MICRODOLLY Jib and allows many shots to be accomplished without using a pan/tilt head.

REMEMBER

If you would like your crew to be featured on a future worldwide newsletter, please send us some snaps and videos of your MICRODOLLY GEAR at work!
