MICRODOLLY was in Iraq with Director of Photography MaxPaul Franklin. The shoot was for the Kurdistan Development Corporation.
"We used our MICRODOLLY Jib and Camera Dolly extensively," said Franklin. "As well as shooting in confined areas, it made moving shots possible at the top of mountains that we could not have done any other way."
"The MICRODOLLY equipment paid for itself in the first month of use," concluded Franklin.
MICRODOLLY JIB AND DOLLY KITS
MICRODOLLY Gear is purpose built for crews that must travel light. The Track is spring loaded and snaps together as it unfolds. Additional Straight or Curved Track can easily be added.
Like the Dolly Kit, the MICRODOLLY Jib weighs just over 10 pounds (4.5 kg) and will support loads up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg). Extensions may be added to quickly increase the Jib length to 9 feet (274 cm) or 12 feet (366 cm).
DID YOU KNOW?
Many times a smooth, controlled dolly move can be made easier by adding sandbags or extra weight to the dolly. This is particularly effective with very slow moves.
