Val's LGBTI Ageing & Aged Care
LGBTI Ageing & Aged Care News
It has certainly been a busy start to the year. The Val's team has already delivered many training sessions all over Victoria and the demand is just growing which is wonderful. The interest in training is partly due to the requirements for LGBTI inclusive care under the new Aged Care Quality Standards accreditation, and also the continued growth by the aged care sector of awareness and recognition regarding the unique experiences and needs of older LGBTI people, and their need for safe, welcoming and inclusive care and support.

Val's continues to work closely with sector support teams and their regional Diversity Advisors to bring a range of programs to CHSP and HACC PYP providers - so Victorian providers, keep an eye out in your region for events and more.

There are many new initiatives, programs and more to share so please read on....
