<<First Name>>,

"...And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. ..." Hebrews 12:1-2

What is a Virtual 5K/10K, you ask?  It's a run or walk (or hop) you can do on your own time at your own pace in your own place.  You can time yourself using an app like Strava, MapMyRun or MapMyWalk, Runkeeper or any other app.  You can even use a stopwatch.  After you complete your run or walk, return to the website to record your time.

When are we doing this?  You can sign up now, and complete your run or walk any time beginning Friday October 2nd and before the end of the day on Saturday October 24th.

How long is this Virtual Race?  You can choose between a 5K (about 3.1 miles) or a 10K (about 6.2 miles).  We have created routes in Uganda that you can envision yourself running.  Check out the routes by visiting this page on our website.

What does it cost?  My, you ask a lot of questions.  The cost for the race is only $35.  The cost for the race plus the t-shirt and the neck gaiter only adds a shipping and handling fee.

What is in it for you?  Good question.  Besides the awesome feeling that you know you are making the difference in the life of a child or a family in Uganda, you will have the option to get some cool swag. The swag option includes a Neck Gaiter with the True Impact logo on it AND an awesome looking T-Shirt.  With the SWAG option, you will also receive a True Impact sticker for your water bottle or computer or wherever your stickers go.

T-Shirts & Neck Gaiters will be delivered to your address 1-3 weeks following the race end date.

How do I sign up?  Now you are finally getting to the good stuff.  Visit our signup page:  All the details are there.  Just click the Sign Up button.

Can I do more?  You're getting it now.  Yes!  You can encourage others to join us.  The more people involved in the race, the more children we can help. Get friends, family and even strangers to join us in the race or donate in support of you completing the race.  Become a fundraiser.  Share what you are doing on social media.  Forward this email.  Get the word out to people not already connected to True Impact Ministries.

I also want to give you a quick update from Uganda.  Schools are still closed, along with churches.  Most businesses have been allowed to reopen as well as transportation.  Ugandans are still required to wear masks and social distance when in public.

Uganda has had 2,362 deaths and only 22 deaths as of August 27th.

With the schools closed, the children we support aren't getting fed regularly like they do each day in school.  To help them out, as well as the families we are supporting, we are delivering food, supplies and clothing to them each month.

That is why we are doing this fall fundraiser.  To support these children and families, and hopefully more children in need.  While we are struggling here in the United States to get through this pandemic, Ugandans are starving and dying because of the regulations imposed by the government to attempt to curb the impacts of the virus.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. - James 1: 2-4
