What is a 5K/10K, you ask? It's a run or walk. If you chose 5 kilometers, that is about 3.1 miles. 10 kilometers is two laps on the course, or 6.2 miles. Whether you join us in-person or walk or run on your own, this is a fun run, self-timed. You can do on your own time at your own pace in your own place. You can time yourself using an app like Strava, MapMyRun or MapMyWalk, Runkeeper or any other app. Or you can use a smart watch or a stopwatch. After you complete your run or walk, return to the website to record your time.
When are we doing this? Sign up now. If you are walking or running virtually, complete your run or walk any time beginning Saturday July 30th and before the end of the day on Saturday August 6th. The in-person run begins at 8am on August 6th at the Howell Construction parking lot. 8085 E Harvard Ave, Denver, CO 80231 The race will start and end there.
What is new this year? We have new swag, a cool t-shirt and a HAT!!! And with a year of in-person experience, we'll have the route marked better this time.
What does it cost? The cost for the race is only $39. For that price you get to help the students in Uganda get an education and get yourself a sweet t-shirt and hat. WOW! You can even earn your entry fee back by fundraising and/or referrals.
What is in it for you? Good question. Besides the awesome feeling that you know you are making the difference in the life of a student in Uganda, you will get some cool swag. This year, everyone will get a T-Shirt and a hat! All swag will be delivered to your address following the race end date.

Can I do more? You Sure Can! You can encourage others to join us. The more people involved in the race, the more students we can help. Get all your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, baristas, dog walkers, hair stylists and any stranger you come in contact with signed up. This is the most important part. We need people who have never heard of True Impact to sign up. I mean, how else are we going to get our name out there. If they aren't up for joining us in the race, they can donate in support of you completing the race. You can Become a fundraiser.
