<<First Name>>,

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." - Numbers 6: 24-26

Today, like everyday, we choose to count our blessings from the Lord.  The picture below was taken when I (Dave) was at Truth Christian School in early February.  We are waiting until the day schools can reopen.

I received this update from a friend. It is a summary of President Museveni's national address from May 18.

Our hope is that the students preparing for annual testing conducted at the end of the year will be able to resume classes on June 2nd.  Primary 7 and Secondary 4 and 6 students take these annual tests in order to be placed at the next level of education.  Unlike in the United States, in Uganda the school year follows the calendar year with three terms.

  1. Shops will open, but not in malls and arcades.
  2. Markets must separate food and non food essentials.
  3. Beginning on 2nd June, public transport to carry half of the capacity but not in border cities and districts.
  4. Boda Bodas are not allowed to carry passengers for 21 days.
  5. Bars, Salons, Health clubs remain closed for 21 days.
  6. International borders and airports will remain closed.
  7. Open for P7, S4, S6...no 1st term examinations. University finalists in the next 2 weeks...about 2 June.
  8. Curfew remains at 7pm for 21 days.
  9. Hotels and restaurants can open.
  10. Private Cars allowed to drive up to 3 people in the vehicles beginning June 2, 2020.

The image below is from an article on the Ugandan New Vision news website.  Check out this article/pictures on how Ugandans are adjusting to their "New Normal".  https://www.newvision.co.ug/new_vision/news/1519118/adjusting-normal-amidst-covid-19

We are Truly Grateful for how the Lord Blesses us through you every day!

"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  As it is written: "They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever." (Psalm 112:9)  Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness." - 2 Corinthians 9: 8-10
