John Grasson
Lost Ships of the Desert

One of the most fascinating tales of the American Southwest is the curious legend of the Lost Ship of the Desert. Hundreds of years ago did a ship truly travel into an ancient lake, in the area now known as the Salton Sea? And if it did, who were the people that sailed this ship, Viking, Spanish or English? Is there something out there that can show or proof whose ship in was? John Grasson has spent more than 12 years seeking out the truth of this legend and is happy to share his finding with you...
John is a traveler, explorer, researcher, desert photographer, and truth seeker.  To him, the treasure has always been in the story and not necessarily in gold or silver. He is considered the leading authority on the Lost Ship of the Desert, the Black Gold of Pegleg Smith, and is a PROUD member of the Billy Holcomb chapter of E Clampus Vitus.
John has been featured on several TV networks from the American Heroes Channel Lost Ship of the Mojave,  the Travel Channel Legend Hunter, America Unearthed Lost Ship of the Viking and the Science Channel Mysteries of the Missing. and lately with Scott Wolter on America Unearthed. John was also the co-host of the Death Valley Jim Radio program which aired on KPTR1450AM out of Palm Springs California. He was featured in an article from Newsweek magazine, and was a guest on Midnight in the Desert (the old Art Bell show). He is also the owner operator of the Lost Ship of the Desert website. John is currently working on the most complete book about the Lost Ships of the Desert.
