Call for Expressions of Interest - ECHO Grant 2017-2018
Dear Shelter Cluster colleagues,

As you will remember from our previous communications, the Global Shelter Cluster (GSC) submitted a new joint proposal to ECHO, to continue to advance towards the goal of the GSC Strategy 2013-2017, building on the achievements of the past four years.

As it was with the 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 ECHO grants, the GSC Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) agreed that UNHCR will manage this new round of funding and host an ECHO Grant Management Assistant, fully dedicated to ensuring the smooth implementation of activities, which will be implemented by Global Shelter Cluster partners, as well as by the GSC lead agencies, UNHCR and IFRC.

This new proposal builds up on the sustainability achieved on the 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 Actions. The total amount of the proposal is EUR 2.12 million, of which 53% is provided by the GSC cluster leads and partners and 47% by ECHO.

We are now inviting all GSC partners to submit expressions of interest to implement certain activities included in the 2017-2018 proposal submitted to ECHO.

If your organization is interested in implementing any of these activities and receiving the ECHO funding involved in the implementation, please follow these steps:
  1. Participate in the Webinar that will explain better this project. This webinar will take place on 20 June 2017 at 14:00 (Geneva time). Please register hereTo join the Webinar, please follow the instructions at the bottom of this message.
  2. Read this document which provides an overview of the IP selection process and the selection criteria against which interested partners will be selected.
  3. Fill this format justifying how your organization fulfills the criteria, and submit it to boevska@unhcr.org before CoB Friday, 30 June 2017. 4. More information on previous ECHO contributions can be found at: http://www.sheltercluster.org/global/page/echo-contribution
The GSC Support Team will review the applications and the SAG will decide the most suitable applicants to implement each of the activities. The selected applicants will be communicated through another global update.

Thank you very much for your continued participation in the Global Shelter Cluster.

Kind regards,

The Global Shelter Cluster Support Team
