Crock-Pot Cooking

A Crock-Pot is a great option for planning ahead and avoiding the last minute dinner rush.  For optimal results:
  • Vegetables do not cook as quickly as meat, so they should be placed on the bottom. 
  • Don’t lift the lid.  If you do, heat escapes and will extend the cooking time by 20 – 30 minutes.  
  • Browning your meat prior to adding it to the crock will add an additional layer of deep, caramelized flavor.
