Dear <<First Name>>

As the year draws to a close and we prepare to share Christmas and the holiday season with our friends and families, I have been reflecting on the importance of kindness. As we look back on 2016, we have witnessed human suffering through war, neglect and cruelty. We have seen a meanness of spirit in public discourse. Closer to home, men and women suffer anxiety and depression, loneliness, sometimes hopelessness. We have the power to change that. You have the power to change that. Gary Chapman speaks of the Five Languages of Love, namely words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service and physical touch. How do you give and receive love? Think of the way that you feel when someone smiles, when someone asks how you really are. How do you feel when someone wraps their arms around you and holds you, caring for you, warming you with their love and affection? Caring for others is beautiful. Being there, being present, giving of yourself is why we are here. Be kind. Be warm. Love more and love often.

To those of you missing loved ones this year, we share your grief and sadness. You cry because they were important. They will never be forgotten and, like Gidget, will live in our hearts and memories forever.

The greatest gift that we can give another human being is making them feel valued. The Gidget Foundation, our people, value you. Thank you for your support this year, for helping us to change the experience of pregnancy and parenting for so many people.

From our family to yours,
Much love

Vijay Roach, Chairman Gidget Foundation
