CASP Stories: To the Moon and Back

Exhibition July 19-23, Cedar Cafe Parkes. Work created in workshops by young people on themes on the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing celebrations. This project was funded by the Country Arts Support Program (CASP) in 2019. Applications for the 2020 round of funding close July 29.

We'll be particularly focused over these next few weeks on helping you get your applications together for the Country Arts Support Program (CASP) (more details below) and the Regional Arts Fund. And remember, if you're applying for any other funding - there's lots listed in this newsletter and even more on Facebook - you can call on us for a letter of support, application advice and we can even act as the auspice organisation on funding applications where suitable (other than on CASP).

Cowra Voices preview 

From the new storytelling app, here's a preview of a story about Japanese civilians interned during the Pacific War as 'enemy aliens' who were later buried in Cowra Cemetary. The app will be launched in August at the 75th anniversary of the Cowra POW Breakout.

The Country Arts Support Program (CASP) is an annual small grants program administered by Regional Arts NSW on behalf of Create NSW, delivered in partnership with the 14 Regional Arts Development Organisations.
Projects could include but are not limited to:
  • Workshops
  • Arts activities as part of community festivals or events
  • Artist-in-residence programs
  • Public art and design projects
  • Performances
  • Community seminars and forums
  • Exhibitions
  • Other local arts initiatives
Funds - of up to $3000 per project - are available primarily for professional artists’ fees, travel and accommodation. You'll need to talk to us first about your project ideas. The 2020 round of CASP closes July 29, 2019.
