Season 2 in production!

It has been a busy few months for  Colleen and the Family Travel team, as we've explored fabulous destinations from Canada to Switzerland to Florida. Common themes for season two are ADVENTURE and WATER! We can't wait to share it all with you when our new episodes begin airing in spring 2015. Here's a sampling of the places we'll take you during season two:
Lake of the Ozarks
In mid-July, we shot in the Lake of the Ozarks in the heart of Missouri. It's a 55,000-acre water playground with endless possibilities for family fun. We fished, boated, explored a cave, took a paddleboat cruise, flew in a plane over the lake and more.
Québec, Canada
In mid August, we experienced the sweeping views and outdoor adventure of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, a region in Québec. We took in the rich history, showed our bravery on a high ropes course and got up close and personal with the wildlife, including whales! There is so much for families to do throughout this area, which is home to the majestic Saguenay Fjord and massive Lac Saint Jean.
We were so excited to add Switzerland to the season two lineup! In late August, we explored everything that this amazing European destination has to offer, including traversing a glacier, paragluiding through the Alps and learning how to make alphorns! The hospitality was as memorable as the breathtaking scenery.
Emerald Coast, Florida
In early September, we enjoyed the sugar-white sand and emerald-green water of Florida's Emerald Coast. We ate seafood right out of the Gulf, visited an Indian Temple Mound, cruised with dolphins and made sand castles with a true sand artist. We loved soaking up the sun and culture in this stretch of paradise.

Impressive results for season 1

Our 13 season-one episodes continue to air on National Public Television, climbing well past 18,000 telecasts in just the first nine months. "Family Travel with Colleen Kelly" airs on 366 public television channels in 161 markets -- that's 90 percent of the U.S.! Watch for season two episodes to begin in spring 2015.

If you fall into the latter category, spending the night in a haunted hotel just might be the kind of adventure you're looking for. "While planning a trip to Northern California I found Colleen Kelly's program so helpful! I loved all of the ideas she provided about how to plan your trip. Her show provides so many educational and fun activities for families of all sizes and ages. It was also really nice because the prices of the activities ranged from free to more costly. We spent almost an entire day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and took the hands-on tour she recommended. Our kids all loved it and still talk about it today. It is so nice to find a program that really promotes positive ways to spend time with your family and gives useful and realistic travel activities. Thank you so much! We can't wait to plan our next vacation."
