Blood Drive on Sunday!

Miller-Keystone will be holding a Blood Drive in Adams Hall this coming Sunday, May 16th, from 9 AM - 2 PM. Due to COVID safety precautions, no walk-ins are allowed, so this is your last chance to sign up to give the life-saving gift of blood on Sunday. Go to the Miller-Keystone website ( and use St. Gabriel's Sponsor Code 5174. (A note to those attending the 10:30 outdoor worship service: people will be arriving and leaving the Adams Hall entrance during the service.)

This past  weekend was an unseasonably chilly one! Showery weather caused the cancelation of  Saturday's outdoor worship, and many of Sunday morning's attendees donned hats, coats, gloves, and even some blankets! "Stray Showers" are possible this coming weekend, so be sure to check the church website or Facebook page for notices about livestream-only worship before coming to a service if you're uncertain about the weather.

Reminder: If we hold services outside, the only service which will be streamed online is the 10:30

Announcements and Events

St. Gabriel's Just4Sew Team delivers comfort!
Last year, our Just4Sew Ministry Team made pillow cases to cover pillows for Safe Berks. The pillows are given to women and children seeking shelter from abuse, and are a comfort to people who often escape with very few possessions. The Ministry asked for donations of pillows or $$ to purchase pillows for the cases. Thanks to our generous parishioners, they received funds for more pillows than they have cases for! The 65 cases in this photo were sent with the first 50 pillows last year. Another 40 pillows were recently ordered for delivery to Save Berks. Jeri Klein, who chairs the group, has been purchasing and delivering the pillows and said she believes they still have funds to purchase more pillows next month! Thanks Jeri and Team!

Youth Pizza Fundraiser
Support our youth by ordering a pizza! You can order a build-it-yourself pizza kit or a gift certificate to Oliviero's Pizzeria in Douglassville. For more information, view this flyer. Orders are due to Michelle Miller by Sunday, May 30.

If you are willing to help with this cost, please send to or drop off a check at the church office (or place in the offering plate at weekend worship). Please make the check payable to St. Gabriel’s and note “Community Meal” on the memo line. Contact Dianne Walker at 610-413-0790 with questions.  Thank you!
