In November of 2015, Former Senator for VIC, John Madigan
, engaged the full cross-bench in co-sponsoring the Senate Inquiry into Australian Lyme-like Illness. What a year! With a nail-biting 'pause' because of the Double Dissolution, the Community Affairs Committee of the 45th Parliament re-instated the Inquiry, and we sincerely thank them for that.
Today the Final Report
was tabled in the Senate. Please thank Senators Siewert
for their outstanding professional input to and support of the plight of Australian Lyme disease patients.
Patients Call for Action
LDAA is calling on all Parliamentarians to represent the interests of sick Australians who are being denied diagnosis and treatment. The medical authority bias and misuse of power leads to patient harm. Real action now is required for current and future Australian Lyme disease patients.
Senator Jacqui Lambie supports Former Senator, John Madigan's Call to Action
On Tuesday the 29th of November Senator Jacqui Lambie published a video to her Facebook page featuring former Senator John Madigan requesting a 'Call for immediate parliamentary action'. At the time of this publication the video had received 30,000 views, 845 shares, 1300 likes and great than 150,000 reach – this is an issue that speaks to and outrages everyday Australians. Naturally the bulk of the 104 comments where commending Senator Lambie and Former Senator Madigan for their continued support. Also acknowledge the video on Senator Lambie's page.
Remember to 'like', 'tag', 'thank', 'share' and 'comment'.

Thank you for all of your contributions towards the Senate Inquiry into Lyme-like Illness. Whether you submitted your story, reached out to your local parliamentarian or simply laid in your bed and wished for the best - thank you. It took all of us to get this across the line.
We are very aware that not everyone will agree with everything in the Final Report, and there's still many miles to go. We recommend you just keep watching the video or reading the Hansard of the Senators words upon tabling the Report – watch again and again and look after yourself while Australia progresses as quickly as possible. Senators Siewert, Moore and Lambie have committed to being very persistent to making this right.
We'll be offering further analysis and thoughts on the details of the Final Report, but in the meantime, please look after yourself.
Thanks again Lyme warriors!
Yours in Green,
Sharon Whiteman | President
