Pymble Grove Release
“Dr Richard
Schloeffel has been involved with diagnosis and management of Complex Chronic Disorders for over twenty years, with almost 40 years experience as a Doctor. He has had extensive experience in Rural General Practice and Developing World Medicine. As the Chair Person of The Australian Chronic Infectious and Inflammatory Disease Society (
ACIIDS) he and his team are the voice that develops awareness for these emerging diseases. Dr
Schloeffel is a committed campaigner leading Australia in new paradigms to understand, treat and educate patients, families, doctors and the general community who suffer through these difficult and disabling illnesses. He states it is an honor and privilege to be acknowledged as a leader in this field. The work we do is exemplary, thorough and satisfying.
His passion is seeing people responding to treatment and regaining their life after often years of misunderstanding and neglect from the medical profession at large. These are 'Heartsink' patients that fall through the cracks of old paradigms of medicine. We have an obligation to make sure these people are heard and not dismissed because they are in the too hard basket.
Dr Schloeffel invites doctors who are struggling with treating such patients to get on board. These illnesses will not go away and would appear to be increasing in number.”
Dr Schloeffel can be contacted at Pymble Grove Clinic (02) 9418 1388.
Please join the LDAA team in congratulating Dr Richard Schloeffel on his award. We are all better off and very grateful for his leadership, expertise and courage.
