Hi TimeBank Member!

We hope you have good plans for the upcoming holiday! If you are not out of town, there is a potluck at Dan and Becky DeSpain's home at 3pm. Swimming and picnicking in their wonderful garden sounds like a perfectly relaxing day! There is a link below for more information about it along with other potlucks members are hosting. Make sure you RSVP as some of the events are limited on space.

We also have room for more potlucks if you would like to host. The more the merrier, we say.  (We are hearing rumblings about another being hosted on July 12th, but it is not yet confirmed, keep a look out on the website calendar!)

Hosting Potlucks in July

You can still host a potluck in July!

In July, instead of our 2nd Sunday gathering, we are encouraging our members to host individual, smaller potlucks as a way for members to get to know one another, which builds trust and relationships among members. We have found that many members enjoy the smaller gatherings, and have made several new connections in the timebank by attending these events. By having them on different days than we normally do, it allows members who can't make our potlucks regularly to be able to join in!

We have done this in the past, and several members have created potlucks that had a theme, by hosting game nights, picnics in the park, and pool parties. You are welcome to create what would be fun for you. We encourage members to team up to host as well.

Here is how you set it up:

Decide your date, which can be anytime in July, and email us the details; You can post it on the calendar on the website(if you need help with this, let us know) and we will advertise your potluck in the next newsletter on the 15th. You are welcome to limit the amount of people at your potluck for space constraints. If it is a smaller one, note how many you can have, and you might want to make a Facebook event for it in the member group, or have people RSVP to your email so that you know when your event is full.

You will receive time credits for the time you spend working on your event, and anyone who brings a dish, or helps work at your potluck will receive them as well, just like normal potlucks.

To let us know you would like to host(or have questions) Email here!
