Stay COVIDSafe at Circus

Spaghetti Circus continues to maintain a healthy and resilient attitude in the face of COVID-19. Class sizes are limited and we request students, staff and parents support us in keeping everyone safe. Thanks to everyone for doing a great job so far in maintaining the new protocols.

Please remember to:
  • Maintain physical distancing
  • Bring a drink bottle
  • Stay home if sick
  • Keep coughs and sneezes to yourself
  • Wash hands before and after class

Annual Show 2020

Monday 23 - Saturday 28 November

To give everyone the chance to show off their skills and circus style, we are going ahead with an Annual Show. It just might be a bit different to the past extravaganzas...

All coaches are beginning to prepare their groups' performances, which will be presented in week seven of term four: Monday 23 - Saturday 29 November. Performances will take place during class time with each group taking turns to perform and watch as live audience members. Parents will get to see their circus stars via an online format - more details to come.

The final plans will continue to evolve depending on COVID restrictions at the end of November.

Welcome to Scott McBurnie

You may have noticed our newest coach Scott McBurnie around the circus. We are very happy to welcome him to our Spaghetti family.

With more than 20 years of performing experience and a  Flying Fruit Fly Circus graduate, 'Scottie' has his work cut out for him coaching four days per week.

Scott has performed in more than 15 countries and specialises in club juggling and passing, tumbling, slapstick and performance skills. We are very proud to be able to share his experience with our circus students.

If you run into him, please say hello and make him feel welcome.

From the front desk

Please remember to drive slowly in and out of the Showground. The speed limit is 10km/h and we have lots of small children running around to keep track of. It is is better to be late to pick up or drop off than to speed.

When doing classes, please ensure your child:
  • ties back long hair
  • wears loose clothing - no denim or zippers
  • has a nutritions snack beforehand
  • doesn't share drink bottles
  • doesn't wear school uniforms

Community Initiatives Program

Spaghetti Circus was successful in securing a matched-funding grant with Byron Shire Council as part of the Community Initiatives Program.

The grant of $5,000 will allow us to provide multi-term scholarships to a number of teenage students from low socio-economic, indigenous or disadvantaged backgrounds.

Stay tuned as we roll this program out. An application form will be made available on our website and publicised through local press and social media.

Missing something?

We have a huge amount of lost property left behind at Spaghetti Circus. We have shoes, shirts, tights, jumpers, water bottles, hats and a kitchen sink.

If you think you are missing something, please come and check out our collection. Any lost items remaining at the end of term will be given to a local op shop.
