CIRCUS SCHOOL NEWS


Term 4 has begun!
Term 4 runs from Monday October 14 to Saturday December 14
IMPORTANT:
Spaghetti closes for seven days each year for the Mullumbimby Agricultural Show.
NO CLASSES TUESDAY NOVEMBER 5 - MONDAY NOVEMBER 11 INCLUSIVE
 
Some performance stream classes will be rehearsing that week. More details to follow.
Please enrol before your first class
To keep circus affordable Spaghetti Circus term fees need to be paid before the term commences. If you are unable to pay before your first class, please email spaghetticircus@gmail.com to arrange a regular payment plan. 
With Abby gone, please welcome Janice to the front desk. Janice is filling in until we fill the admin role and is quickly learning the ropes of enrolments and classes. Please introduce yourself as you drop into the shed. Thanks for your patience as we transition into the post-Abby era. 

NEW CLASS TIMES IN TERM 4

The start times for most of the Monday and Wednesday classes have changed to help with after school transport. Please check the blackboard and the website timetable for the update. The 3:30pm classes will start at 3:45 and the 4:30 classes will start at 4:45pm. 8-11 girls class will run 4:45 - 6:15pm. Classes from 4:00 - 6:00 and 5:30 - 7:00pm remain the same.

BAILS OF HEY!

The Performance Troupe show Bails of Hey! is coming. Featuring an ensemble cast of 16 teenagers who leap, climb, balance and fly, the show is directed by DJ Garner. See them in the Spaghetti Circus Back Shed: Friday 25, Saturday 26 October and Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November; 7pm and Saturday 2pm matinees.

MULLUMBIMBY AGRICULTURAL SHOW:

No Spaghetti Circus classes for 7 days

Preparations have begun for the the biggest little show in Australia, now in its 112th year!
 
This year our Mighty Mini Girls, Mighty Boys and Super Mighty Girls and Super Mighty Boys are preparing to represent Spaghetti at the show!
 
There will be no general classes from Tuesday November 5 to Monday November 11. We would love help bumping out of the shed on Tuesday November 5 from 8:00am and help bumping back in on Monday November 11 from 12:00pm.
 
Monday October 15- Monday November 4: OPEN
Tuesday November 5- Monday November 11: CLOSED
(all classes unless specified)
Tuesday November 12- Saturday December 14: OPEN
 
Classes resume on Tuesday November 12. Some performance stream classes only will share limited space in the back shed during the closure. More details to follow.

TORTELLINIS

Introducing a new class for pre-school children: the Tortellinis. An invitation-only class for those young children who have been coming to the Linguinis or Macaronis class, are about to start school and who are ready for a bit more circus without their parents. This class will run on Friday afternoon 3:30-4:30pm with the fabulous Britt coaching.

Please enquire if you think your child is ready for this. Ages: 4-6 years old.

MUSIC IN THE VALLEY

Music in the Valley is this Sunday at Main Arm Primary School and Spaghetti has been invited again this year to provide a circus play space. There will also be a special chair handstand performance by Tumbian - the next group of Spaghetti graduates from the Spaghetti Circus performance troupe.

Spaghetti Circus is seeking to fill an exciting role within the company –
 
Administration and Marketing Coordinator. This role is the central point of contact for Spaghetti Circus. It involves working closely with students, their families and our staff to empower creative, confident, healthy kids. The successful applicant must possess exceptional communication skills as well as a high degree of computer literacy and software versatility. The role requires the ability to work independently as an integral part of a team. Previous experience working within community organisations and the Not-for-Profit sector is desirable.

CLIMATE STRIKES

Congratulations to members of the Performance Troupe who made a chair and person pyramid at the Byron Rally for Climate Action on September 20. Their strongfident message was evident to all.

MULLUM MUSIC FESTIVAL

Spaghetti Circus Performance Troupe will be jumping and flipping on their home ground. With skills that require strength, bravery and confidence, these teenagers will have you amazed at their dexterity. Experience the joy of the circus, in the heart of the Mullum Music Festival buzz.

AUSTRALIAN CIRCUS FESTIVAL

Spaghetti Circus' Performance Troupe, Super Mighty Boys and Duo artists Rosa and Moira will be performing in Brisbane for the 4th annual Australian Circus Festival.

The festival will be hosted this year by Hudson's Circus- where Spaghetti coaches Corie, Lee and Lani lived and worked while performing under the same red and yellow circus big top.
The Super Mighty Boys will be performing on Monday Nov 25, in the 3:30pm Community Junior show.

Performance Troupe will be in the Community Teen show on Friday November 29.

Moira and Rosa will be performing together in the 6:30pm Pre Professional Adult show on Sunday December 1

IN CLASS SHOWINGS

Parents are invited to in-class showings that will happen over a couple of weeks between Monday November 25 & Saturday December 7. Check out your child's incredible circus skills, watch a short performance or maybe join in with some circus fun. Wear comfortable clothes to move around. Further details will follow in an email as each in-class showing will be a little different to suit the class.

BRING A FRIEND WEEK

On the final week of the circus term, we invite each student in entry level classes to bring a friend for free! Come share the joy of circus!
