This month we turn the spotlight on you. We need our members and allies to step up and consider a new level of roles in the movement for Central Brooklyn lives. Find your calling below.

Food Justice Leadership
After several years of organizing, Central Brooklyn Food Coop is on the verge of officially launching its membership drive. With some of our current board members in transition, we’re looking for a new generation of board members - especially those with experience in food retail management, finance, real estate, or food justice organizing - who can help CBFC open its retail storefront.

Long-term Central Brooklyn residents of color are particularly encouraged to step up. Email cahewitt@gmail.com if you're interested in serving.

Although BMC raised more money from individual donors in 2017 than ever before, it's time to raise our house party game. We need people with deep networks and a desire to hustle for BMC to host gatherings at their homes or at other venues.

If you’ve been looking for a way to show up for BMC, this is it! Email apierre@Brooklynmovementcenter.org and schedule an event today.

You knew her as the Brooklyn Movement Center Communications Organizer, then as Brooklyn Deep’s Managing Editor, and finally as Third Rail’s co-producer and co-host. Now, after 5 years as a part of the BMC family, you will know her simply as BMC member. In the latest episode of Third Rail, we bid farewell to Veralyn Williams as a voice of BK Deep. Tune into Third Rail to hear Veralyn's story as you’ve never heard it before.

Listen to Third Rail on the Brooklyn Deep Website, or subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
