Grub Party:
Bring What Your Grandma Made Ya
The Central Brooklyn Food Coop in collaboration with BMC and the Northeast Brooklyn Housing Development Corporation invites you to our first Grub Party Potluck for the year on Saturday August 22nd at 2 pm.

Join us as we break bread and discuss ethnic traditions, herbal remedies, nutrition and healing from the perspectives of our elders. RSVP here.
Standing
Tall
Ridin' 'Round & Gettin' It
Join BMC on Thursday, July 20th, at 6:30 for a double-sided Know Your Rights and Cop Watch training. During this session you will learn what your constitutional rights are in a police encounter AND how to video and document police actions in Central Brooklyn. Click here  for more information and to RSVP.
Starting this summer, No Disrespect's Bike Crew is looking out for Central Brooklynites. We’ve launched a new mobile campaign to de-escalate street harassment incidents and start conversations with our neighbors about the violence women, queer, trans and/or gender non-conforming people face on a daily basis. Wanna be down? Learn how here.

Third Rail Podcast
On this month's Third Rail, we are tackling the politics of parenting. First by breaking down the differences between traditional public, charter, and private schools, and then by discussing the state of education organizing in Central Brooklyn. Listen here and leave a comment. We want to hear what you think!
Also check out last month's Third Rail Express. The day after the Charleston massacre, BMC staff shares their initial reactions and thought through what we would do if a domestic terror attack on Black America happened in Central Brooklyn.

You can find all podcast episodes on BrooklynDeep.org and on iTunes! Just look up Third Rail to find us. And don't forget to SUBSCRIBE!
