Vintage Glamour

In celebration of such a sparkling spring we are hosting an evening to launch the start of the Sparkling Season at Sawtooth ARI in Launceston. On Friday 19th September there will be an evening of Vintage Glamour, new release and museum Delamere vineyards sparkling, retro tunes and very glamorous attire.  Full details to follow, check out our Pinterest board for inspiration and our Facebook event page.

Tickets go on general release on Monday 1st September but you will be able to book from Monday 25th August.

We look forward to seeing you again at Cellar Door or for a glass or two of sparkling at Effervescence or Vintage Glamour.

The Sawtooth Writing Prize is an exciting initiative designed to encourage critical and creative writing responding to the Sawtooth 2014 exhibition program. Reviews and poems will be published regularly on the Sawtooth ARI website allowing writers, artists and general audience to engage with a broad cross-section of national artworks and approaches to arts writing.  Emerging and established writers are encouraged to apply.

The review must be based on a Sawtooth exhibitionfrom the 2014 program. 
500-750 words per review.
Review must be original and the words of the author.
Reviews are encouraged to be submitted while the exhibition of review is open.

Applicants are encouraged to submit more than one review of exhibitions throughout 2014. The winner is chosen for the best folio of 3 or more reviews based on Sawtooth exhibitions from the 2014 program.

The poem must be inspired from a Sawtooth exhibition from the 2014 program.
Maximum 200 words per poetry entry.
Poem must be original and the words of the author.
    Poems are encouraged to be submitted while the exhibition of inspiration is open.

The winner of each category will receive $500 
A year’s subscription to Island Magazine and
A year’s Membership to the Tasmanian Writers’ Centre
Finalist and winning submissions will be posted on the
Sawtooth Review and  Write Response.

Entry Fee is $30

 (Includes Sawtooth Membership or FREE to 2014 Sawtooth Members)

There is no limit to the number of submissions in either poetry or review category.
All entries are to be emailed to by 5th December 2014.
Prize winners are announced late December 2014.
