Meet Our 2015 Iowa Lean Champion

The Iowa Lean Consortium has named Karen Kiel Rosser, Vice President & Quality Improvement Officer for Mary Greeley Medical Center, as the 2015 Iowa Lean Champion. The award was created to honor a leader who has made significant contributions to Lean practices and/or led a Lean journey for 10 or more years. The award was presented at the ILC’s annual fall conference on October 28th.

“Karen has been a strong Lean leader in healthcare. Her belief in the transformative power of Lean is evident through her actions and we are pleased to honor her work and achievements,” Jeff Dahm, ILC board president and factory advisor at Deere & Company.

Iowa Rehabilitation Services System Dream Team awarded Iowa Partners in Efficiency Award

The 2015 IPE was awarded to Iowa Rehabilitation Services System Dream Team for a project that focused on the development of an efficient paperless process to pay medical billings. This project resulted in a cost savings of more than 100,000 annually, labor efficiency, quality improvements and increased customer satisfaction.

For Our Lean Implementation Strategies Roundtable

Have you ever wondered if you have tried everything to implement Lean or why an aspect of your implementation didn't work? If so, join us for a dynamic roundtable discussion with panelists from the manufacturing, construction, government and healthcare sectors who will discuss their lean implementation strategies.

Panelists will share what worked well and what did not followed by Q&A with Panelists and roundtable discussions.

Get Your Lean Creative Juices Flowing!

The ILC Marketing Team is hosting a t-shirt design contest and is looking for fun, creative ideas for a t-shirt for the ILC. 
Start brainstorming ideas for slogans about Lean and continuous improvement that communicate the fun side of Lean and the ILC. Share them with us via the button below.

The Marketing Team will choose the top three designs and ILC members will vote for their favorite.  The t-shirt will be available to purchase from our website.
The winner of the contest will win 8 free t-shirts - one for you and 7 for you to give to your lucky friends.

We held our largest Fall Conference in ILC history with over 400 participants during the 2-day event.  Thank you to our attendees, presenters, volunteers, sponsors and exhibitors for making it a great learning event for all who attended!  Members can access materials from the conference in the Training Materials section of the Members Only Area of the website.
