Trader newsletter - November 2015
We need you...

A good crop of news and ideas for you this month - including a competition and a chance to share your top tips - not bad, eh?

Keep an eye out for another email from us soon, too. We're in the process of developing a major research study to find out more about the issues on the high street here in Levy. As part of that we need to understand what market traders consider when and if they think about taking high street premises and since there are 1004 of you (as of this morning) on our database, you seemed like the natural place to start asking!

There's more info about the study here - keep an eye out for the email - see you all soon.

WIN a free stall at our 2016 launch!

Last month we explained why your views are so important to keeping the market running and improving - click here to see our shiny infographic - well, this month we have some more motivation for you: a PRIZE!

If you have traded in September or October this year please click on the button below to give your feedback and we will enter you into a draw to win a single stall at our relaunch market for 2016*

* In case you've not traded with us for long it's worth knowing that the relaunch market is our biggest event of the year - big crowds, sell out stalls, you get idea! To be eligible to win you must leave your name and stall name. Prize is for a single stall without electricity but can be upgraded. Prize is transferable to any other market in March 2016 if preferred.

Support Burnage foodbank this Christmas

We've teamed up with Burnage Foodbank to help collect food items for people in crisis every week and we'd love it if traders could bring items in the run up to Christmas. If you have any unwanted but in-date food bring it along to the green gazebo where you can donate items, and we'll make sure everything gets to those who need it most. Find out more about what to donate and the work of Burnage Food Bank here.

Christmas selling

Just a quick reminder as Christmas is coming up that you are bound by our terms and conditions to sell what you stated on the original application when you booked your stalls. We understand that at Christmas you may be tempted to add extras to your range, but if we don't know about it we may have to ask you to remove items from sale if they clash with someone who has already booked to sell that product. We also have restrictions on our licence about how many people can sell alcohol at any one time - if in doubt, ask!

Got a killer trader tip?

We want this to be your newsletter as well as ours so we'll be introducing a feature next year where traders share their little secrets for successful trading - hopefully we can build up a bank of them over time and use them as a resource for new traders too!

So - any bright ideas you have about how to make the day go smoother or clinch those extra sales - share them with us and we'll share the love! Email us with your tips!

Support local traders

The market was formed as a social enterprise because we believe that a market alone cannot make our high street great again. We're working on all sorts of projects behind the scenes but one way that YOU can help is by supporting local businesses when you trade  - visit LoveLevenshulme for a directory of local businesses you can support.
